Today is a celebration of the achievements our soon to be graduates have made during their time with us at Coventry University. The final year project is the pinnacle of an undergraduate degree, an independent endeavour, and it is wonderful to be able to come together to share their research findings. If you are presenting today, good luck. I fondly remember presenting my research into palladium-zinc coupling at the end of my undergraduate degree, it was both an exhilarating and daunting experience. Therefore, please support all the presenters today and ask lots of insightful questions to get the most out of the day.
It’s been a rollercoaster of a few years and I am exceptionally proud of you all. The global pandemic has tested us to our limits and the grit and resilience you have developed will serve you well in the years ahead. Hopefully, if you are due to graduate this year, it is not quite the end. Some of you will continue onto one of our postgraduate courses, some of you may even be future colleagues. Whatever happens, please stay in touch.
